He Puts the Show in Fashion Show

John Gallioano...Let those two words wash over you in blissful fashion geniusness (I know that that's not a word!). When I think of John Galliano, several things come to mind. One: Innovator. Two: He beats to sound of his own drum. Three: Performer. The last characteristic was quite evident in his Spring 2008 show. With the runway set to a carnival/boardwalk theme set a fun mood to the models flaunting fun poses in the most outlandish clothes ever. To be the Galliano girl, you've got to have spunk to wear them. You wear them to get noticed and have fun in what you're wearing. So, here a few of my favorite looks from the runway. Enjoy!

While you're here...

Here are some of Kate Moss' looks from her holiday Topshop collection.

Kate Moss' got a new haircut? I like it, I think it's kinda edgy. What do you guys think?

*sigh*... Nothing like model pals having fun backstage.

Question: Who do you think is the more innovative mind, Karl Lagerfeld, or John Galliano? Let me know.

Love Kate's hair. I like how Galliano's models are so expressive and look like they're having fun. So much better than the sullen look most designers request of their models.

i loved how Galliano had the broken down merry-go-round in the background of his show. it just had an amazing vibe.

Totally true title!
That's a really impressive setting for the show, and the outfits really blend with it. I love the third picture, her dress is amazing! Great outfits! I love the fun, and very different bits to each piece!

Very, very, very great post!

The Galliano show was pretty much the greatest thing ever.

I have so much respect for Karl, but when it comes to the runway, Galliano's shows are an event. A spectacle! And that's how it should be. I love Marc, and Viktor & Rolf for the same reason. The collections usually deserve exciting ways of showcasing them.

I love Galliano's shows. It's more than just beautiful clothes to him, he takes it a step further to the point of a theatrical production. These are shows you never forget.
